Implementation
What is a typical implementation timeframe?

Implementation timeframes vary by client depending upon the following factors:

• Priority of applications to be implemented
• Amount of data to be converted (# of years, records, etc)
• Time of fiscal year (is there an immediate billing cycle involved, etc.)
• Number of applications
• Number of physical sites
• Number of users, etc.

Typically, a city or town would be looking at a 90-120 day timeframe to install the majority of our applications. VADAR®Systems understands that a successful and on-time implementation requires both the client and VADAR®Systems to work together to hit each milestone.

How do you manage the implementation?

A VADAR®Systems Project Manager is assigned to you and all communication related to the implementation flow through the Project Manager. This provides a single point of control so that all information, plans, and installation elements are coordinated to make the conversion as efficient as possible. Several representatives comprise each Implementation team as various phases require different talents. Moving to a new system is never pain-free, but every application that is installed has its own, formal installation process, and a tracking methodology that ensures a successful implementation.

Who performs Quality Assurance on the software when it is installed?

VADAR®Systems personnel perform both install and QA functions. The process is agreed upon at the time the contract is signed and includes a "system acceptance" phase which ultimately ends when the client "signs off" on the installation.
