VADAR®Systems applications don’t require expensive hardware
Server Minimum Specifications
Operating System: WindowsÒ NT 4.0, WindowsÒ 2000 Server, or WindowsÒ 2003 Server
Processor: Pentium® II 300 MHz or higher
RAM: 128 MB or higher
Hard Drive: 8 GB or higher
CD ROM: 12x or higher
Network Speed: 10 (Ethernet) or 100 (Fast Ethernet) MBPS
Backup Device: Travan tape, DAT, Iomega® backup devices, CD recordable, etc.
UPS: Uninterruptible power supplies guard against damage during power outages.
Client Workstation Minimum Specifications
Operating Systems: WindowsÒ NT 4.0 Workstation, Windows 2000Ò, or WindowsÒ XP Professional (WindowsÒ 95 and WindowsÒ 98 can also be used. However, please consult with your VADARÒSystems representative to confirm specifications of workstations if they
do not conform to the minimum specifications).
Processor: PentiumÔ II 400 MHz or higher for WindowsÒ NT/2000, PentiumÔ III 800 MHz or higher for WindowsÒ XP (P4 1+ GHz recommended) for WindowsÒ XP
RAM: 128 MB or higher for WindowsÒ NT/2000, 256 MB or higher for WindowsÒ XP
Hard Drive: 4 GB or higher
CD ROM: 8x or higher
CD-RW (any speed) or Iomega Zip Drive: 100 MB or 250 MB
Network Card: 100 MBPS (if Fast Ethernet network is present, if not then 10 MBPS)
Screen Resolution: 800 x 600, small fonts – All VADAR®Systems applications are
designed at the above stated resolution and font size. The application can be run at higher resolutions, i.e. 1024 x 768, if the client desires.
Other Minimum Requirements:
Laser Printer: 6 PPM for most applications. 17 PPM Laser if printing RE/Utility bills in-house
Bar Code Reader: Required only if bar codes are to be utilized for payment entry
Licensed Copies of MS Access
Internet Access – The VADARÒSystems RSM (remote support model) depends upon a minimum of one workstation/server accessing the Internet. FTP (File Transfer Protocol), email capabilities (including 2+ MB file attachments), and access to VADARÒSystems’ WebEx internet site are required. This RSM offers the most efficient support.
